Veterinary Surgeon – Bristol
A new position has opened up for a clinician wishing to gain experience in referral ophthalmology. We are looking for a clinician with significant experience in managing their own ophthalmology cases. With a strong culture of staff development in our practice, a postgraduate qualification would be an advantage but is not essential. Support and training will be provided but the successful candidate would be expected to work relatively independently at an early stage. A passion for patient care, teamwork, excellent communication skills and empathy with both patients and colleagues are all essential.
An experienced ophthalmologist is sought to join our friendly and supportive team. Qualification to a minimum of CertVOphthal level or completion of an ECVO/ACVO residency. A Diploma level qualification is preferred but not essential. A willingness to set up and run a residency programme would be an advantage. Experience in referral practice is not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate. A passion for patient care, teamwork, excellent communication skills and empathy with both patients and colleagues are all essential.
Internship in Veterinary Ophthalmologist
This 15-month post is aimed at providing a good grounding in ophthalmic anaesthesia, examination techniques, case management and basic ophthalmic surgery for a qualified veterinary surgeon. Previous experience with managing your own ophthalmic cases an advantage but flexibility, willingness to learn and to work as part of a team are more important.
